“Poushosh” Collages are totally and fundamentally conceptual. For their creation is based on mere idea and concept. And technique and material are the secondary elements in them not the main. Some of the chosen material such as extracts from fashion journals would be ruined or forgotten if they weren’t used in these collections. But this collage revived them, reanimated them with a new life and function. Above all they have helped the artist and the artist has helped them.

Artist Statement
In the shadows of forgotten places—dusty basements, quiet attics, and the neglected corners of flea markets—I find my muses. These objects, weathered by time and rich with whispers of the past, are not merely materials but storytellers, waiting to be heard and seen anew.
My art is an act of remembrance and rebellion. Each piece I create honors the hands that shaped these objects, the lives they once adorned, and the histories they carry. My chosen name, Farshido—a blend of Farshid and Others—is a testament to this shared narrative, where my vision intertwines with the craftsmanship of those who came before me.
Through my work, I invite you to pause, to step into a space where meaning lingers and evolves. These objects, once discarded, rise in defiance—transcending their origins, exalting freedom, and embracing transformation. Metaphors emerge like poetry; sensations unfold like the verses of an unwritten tale.
In this dance between the past and the present, my art becomes a mirror—a space where each viewer finds their own reflection, their own revelation, in the silence of forgotten things.
In 2022, I founded the RingelReih Collective, guiding its vision through my extensive archive. We are committed to blurring the lines between art and archive, promoting the innovative use of archives in contemporary art, and fostering interdisciplinary connections. Through imaginative, rigorously researched projects, we aim to inspire fresh perspectives and drive creative development. As Artistic Director, I embrace the role of leading this incredible group towards new realms of exploration and discovery.
